🏀 The Dad Ball League

The Dad Ball League is a one-of-a-kind basketball community created exclusively for fathers at NYSAIS schools and their friends. The league was founded by Lorenzo Bellard, a former collegiate athlete and dedicated NYSAIS teacher and coach with over 15 years of experience in New York independent schools.

Once a week, dads from independent schools across New York come together on the court to compete, connect, and unwind through the game they love. The league operates with the high standards, structure, and positive environment reflective of the NYSAIS community. More than just a league, the DBL is about camaraderie and shared experience—where friendly competition meets genuine fellowship. Whether it’s getting back to your playing days, building new friendships, or simply enjoying a great run during the week, The Dad Ball League offers a space where every father can belong, play hard, and enjoy the game in good company.
